For a long time I plus friends have been looking for round crimped bread tins, When I lived in UK I think the loaves were called toast loaves or milk bread. Well last Sunday my daughter gave me a pair of the tins, dated from 1800s. she got them on E Bay. Thanks Karen...After a good scrub and a couple of goes through the dishwasher on sanitize this was my first baking,,,,,;-))) qahtan

Ah, nostalgia! (Though it isn't of course what it used to be)
I remember milk loaves with great fondness. It was a weekend treat when I was a little lad.
What wonderful pans, and you've clearly got a great result from them first time.
Thanks... the trick to all these closed pans, is to get the right amunt of dough in them.......qahtan
