We have heard here that the volcano has gone off again and could stop the air traffic the same as before, what are you hearing at your side of the pond please XX Jeannine
Yes Jeannine..the volcano is been on and off ever since few weeks ago.. but now they do not do complete ban for the aviation...they just shut off the effected areas at the time..so it is bit like lottery game....where ever the wind blows... ::)
The royal mail website gives regular updates about things affecting mail services. At the moment they seem to be saying it is only post going to or from Iceland which is affected by the volcano.

Metoffice has also given an update every day. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_forecast_weather.html It has been erupting every day, its just that sometimes the plume is higher, denser and affects our our space
My nephew and his wife arrived back from Australia yesterday evening after spending 5 weeks with their children and grandchildren. Customs told them they were lucky as flights were being cancelled. Hopefully if their 2 houses sell their next journey will be a permanent move but so many of us will miss them. Saving my pennies to visit them lol.
We have a relative here, arrived 2 weeks ago, booked to fly from Glasgow, but they wouldn't take her o a flight from there so they bussed her 5 hours to Manchester and left from there, she is going back Tuesday hopefully. We had a TV programme this evening that showed what happened with the volcanl in April..but late for us to get the details but it was interesting XX Jeannine
