Title: I missed allotments4all
Post by: Borlotti on May 11, 2010, 18:28:10
My son got me 'wireless' whatever that is for my computer and I lost my Broadband connection, after many phone calls have got it back, too many sockets plugged in the phone, or whatever.  I really missed my late night chats on here.  Didn't know that I was so addicted to the computer.

Well my lovely son, sorted out the wireless connection, so his computer works/worked in his bedroom.  Long story, he is going through a divorce and living at home 3 days a week.  I was going to the allotment today, lovely weather, but thought I would sort out the computer.  After speaking to BT (in India, I think) and moving all kinds of cables around the bl...dy thing still didn't work, so in a fit of temper I unplugged everything.  I have now gone back to speedtouch and it works. In fact I have wasted a whole day to get back where I was before.  I told the BT bloke I was an old age pensioner and hadn't a clue was he was telling me to do, think he gave up in the end.  He said I didn't have to go back to speedtouch or whatever and wireless would work.  It didn't, perhaps my computer is too old. I thought wireless was another name for radio, but I am certainly not wireless still have wires up the stairs to the bedroom (where the computer is) that everyone falls over.  Happy days, fed up from Enfield, but at least I can go on Alltoments4all.
