Title: Droopy clematis.
Post by: grannyjanny on May 10, 2010, 21:44:37
I have a couple of group 2 clematis on a trellis. I have noticed that the tops of both plants have gone droopy. Could it be the weather, they are on a west facing wall.

Had someting like this once, and diagnosed as clematis wilt. I cut all growth down to ground level and dusted with a Bordeaux mix as growth regrew, and on new growth the next season. I hasn't recurred. But have to say weather behaved itself when we had it so not sure whether yours is the same.

Thanks for the link Suzanne. It doesn't look like clem wilt. I think I'll have to wait & see.
