My brussel spouts and now hispi cabbage leaves are strating to turn yellow. Two weeks ago I potted them up into 4inch pots thinking that they needed more nutrients, and thought they'd recover. However, they are still yellowing, especially the sprouts. Any ideas?
our sprouts and cabbages are now in the ground ( a week) and look better than they did in pots :)
My guess is they are too wet and their toes are cold!
lack of nutrients? Add a fertiliser. Or downy mildew.
I'd say give them a feed. even potting them on, the compost you used may not have had much nutrient left in it? As they are now picking up in the soil, they are probably a lot happier :-)
overwatering I bet!
mine are looking a bit yellow too. I blamed the awlful compost I'd bought. will put some in and feed the rest. they are already outside hardening off and are well drained

brassicas are often slightly yellowing before planting out. It's a slight lack of nutrients, which is normal. It won't do them any harm. plant them out and they should be ok so long as the ground is ok. if not, give the ground some feed too
Gave them a high nitrogen feed today and hope will keep them going until I can put in ground next week1
my broccoli have the same symptoms, their running out of nutrients
i have their frame ready just need to net it and they can then go out, will start hardening off tommorow
