Title: Bagged multi purpose compost quality
Post by: jennym on May 03, 2010, 23:30:42
Got some bagged multi purpose compost from Wickes recently, (own brand with Nutrient Rich on the bag) got to say it's quite good for the price, not full of sticks and stones like some others. 4 bags of 75 litres for £12.

Thats certainly better than the ones I got from Focus, they were full of half decayed matter and loads of small sticks.
I shall not be buying from them again.
Thanks for the heads up on that jennym ;)

In our Wickes they are stored inside too so are not as heavy as some waterlogged bags  :)

This may be a good thread to mention I read in the paper the other day that a chap caught Legionaaires ? from compost.

Take care how you handle it  :)

Wicks also do a peat free bag for the same price for those who are concerned about peat use..
Don't know if the quality is the same - anyone?
