Title: manure

hi ive put a load of manure on my allotment its not broken down yet . what veg will be ok to plant i know not to plant root veg cheers

If its not fresh then Potatoes will love a rich soil, so will beans and cabages etc.

Squashes  like it fresh. Some people grow marrows (courgette and zucchini are the same thing) on top of compost heaps.

Runner beans are happy enough in less than well rotted.

Just give a bit of it a lift up to see if there are plenty or rich red worms doing their job. Wet it a little if you have the use of a hose, it has been pretty dry so it is possible that the underneath is quite well rotted whilst the top is acting like a pastry crust to keep in the moisture.
