Title: Leaves of forced rhubarb
Post by: caroline7758 on April 23, 2010, 16:01:01
Does anyone know whether the yellow leaves of forced rhubarb are as effective as the later green ones for making "stinky soup"?

I thought that the leaves were poisonous - or are you talking feeding plants?

I give the green leaves to my chickens as it is meant to be a good wormer - whatever truth in that I don't know but they are all still alive!

I've no idea whether they've got as much oxalic acid or not, but I bet they'll have enough to work!
