The Heron has a Toad in its mouth!!!!

The da** Heron is visiting daily at the moment and my Orf are up!!!  However, I feel the pond is too deep for Mr/Mrs Heron and hopefully the fish will dive down.  However, Heron got the only Toad I had.  LOL
Picture was taken through my Dining Room window.  The Heron was obviously hungry because he didn't fly off when I banged on the window.

Judging by the length of the legs, I think that's an ex-frog.

Wow! Perhaps wil net our pond. Although deep, it has suffered from Heron puncture...we're surrounded by woods so it took him a while to get lift off!

must say when i saw a heron for the first time at work years back i had brown trousers almost,some dinosaur thing staring at me??  :o :o

but weve lost a few fish their way in the past so the ponds well netted now,aswell as motion lights,so theyve gone next door instead lol

amazing creatures
