Title: tomato and pepper leaves gone pale
Post by: Maidenheadtaff on April 11, 2010, 20:29:49
i replanted some young tomatoes and pepper plants that looked very healthy but now the leaves have turned pale.
The compost i used is good stuff and i don't think i watered them too much. Can anyone advise what i can do

Thanks

Where do you keep you compost..was it cold? If it is the change of temperature that may have caused it then there is nothing to do than wait and see if it haven't damaged them too much... ::)..fingers crossed....

good point, i did have the compost in the greenhouse but still a bit cold. I've bought in the toms and pepper so hopefully they will pull through.

thanks

It is a good idea to make sure that the water is not over cold too I always keep a full can in the greenhouse for watering the young plants in there. Those few degrees can make make a difference.

I agree.. sounds like they got a bit of chilling... if the leaves went dry and brittle it could be scorch...
