planted some pea's way back and they've been growing fine until last week when i noticed one of them was shrivelling, the leaves going dry and such.
now i look and looks like the bottom leaves on all my pea plans are withering!
i'd love to post a picture but as i'm using the Wii to log on i cant.
am i over/underwatering them? or could it be something else?
they're on my kitchen windowsil and have been since planting.
afternoon Le-y. not got sunstroke have they being in direct sunlight behind glass. it has become sunnier recently or are you getting the plant wet when watering before putting them back in the (sun)light.
Have you perchance looked underneath the pot/tray, peas have a long root that search for water and nutrients, maybe they've outgrown all their food? ;)
Ninny
I would suspect all of the above - there is really no need to grow peas indoors, especially the first earlies as they are completely hardy, they do best outdoors or under glass if really early and this gives an opportunity to plant loads as you need to sow a lot of peas to get a good crop :)
I would suggest stem rots from over watering... :-X
thanks for the answers everyone, still not sure but they are starting to look a little more peaky, i'd hazard a guess that i was getting water on the lowe leaves and therefore they're getting sunburnt cos i've been much more careful and they're looking ok.
they're getting planted out shortly and i'll sow some more direct soon.

Some of mine looked a bit like that at planting out time. Now they have been in the ground for a fortnight and look ok. Plant them. Best of luck.
