Yes..I did try to grow them... :-[whole packet of them...and there is plenty in packet..
..and slugs and snails had over night success  with them as well ::)...
One day I will have another go...
But taste wise they are nice..had taster from friend, mind though I'm sure that with a little practice you could make broadbeans snack that would not taste that different..

Thats heartbreaking when that happens :(  I'm in two minds about trying them...seems verry little evidence on web of UK growers talking about them?

go on :)...have a go..it is only one seed packet more and then you'll know if it is worth of repeat..if not, you can always swap the seeds you have grown next year for something elseworth while... ;)

I always thought Lupins were very poisonous.

Yes, I believe you have to soak these for a considerable period because of that.
