Any of you who have grown/eaten this want to give an opinion...tempted to get it :)
hector why not buy it with out a review. then give us personal review since there so many new varieties and rediscovered varieties out there that you may not find any one who has tried it. You will be first to tell us the the good or the bad of this variety.
Love the name!
Translates as Red Toady (if my schoolboy French suffices) - what does that mean? Warty? Good for poisoning blow-darts? Amphibious? Psychotropic?
Crapaudine An ulcer on the coronet of a horse. now that is an interesting name
red horse foot ulcer,
It is also a lady toad,a sewing term, a marine term ,a cookery term,a building term, a mineral and a form of torture..
but I guess it takes one to know one..................
XX Jeannine
Rouge Crap au dine?
Usually with beetroot it's Purple Crap au dine :o
What a cultural resource you lot are :P
Sorry Hector! My throwaway comment kind of destroyed your thread! I don't know very much about this variety (= d**n all) but from what I've read online it doesn't seem to be hugely fantastic. (apart from its name of course! ;))
