My son has a shop in the middle of town and because his fitter has no parking area at his flat the works van is parked in the car park next to the shop. Friday morning son John rode past the car park and found someone decided to throw a brick at the van's windscreen which just shattered it, then the brick was thrown through the side window. The brick still laid on the passenger seat. Fortunately they didn't steal his tools but stole the fitters sat nav from the glove compartment ( I never leave mine in the car!!). The Police were very good and came to inspect the van (it is in my garage until Grandson can do the repairs) but because of the roughness of the brick and the glove boot surface they were unable to take finger prints. The Cancer charity shop also had 3 large windows smashed last week.
On a lighter note we seem to have beaten the "little dears" who over the years have cut the rope on my post and rope fence several times. Son John replaced the rope with a thick strand of wire (not allowed to put a fence there). Wonder how long it will be before they think of bringing wire cutters with them !!
