champagne variety, under a large blue bucket for 4 weeks, now transformed into a rhubarb crumble ;D
Mmmm....that looks good! I'm looking forward to next year when we can eat ours!
Very nice!
I'm going to pick some tomorrow so we can have crumble on Sunday. I don't think mine will be as bright as yours though.
Looks good! I forgot to put a bucket over mine which looked like this a week ago ~

our other one is like that, flighty..btw, it was delicious ;D
Never mind, they soon get there. I never blanch mine as I like the stronger taste of the unblanched stuff.
I bought some pink champagne rhubarb so really pleased to see it turns a nice pink. Unfortunately it will be next year before I can attack it.
In the garden I have some grown from seed, tends to be on the green side but excellent flavour.
i havent put a bucket over mine but the first is almost ready probably another week and i will be able to eat it cant wait crumble all the way
I planted a few crowns this year an it has started to come through,I know you mustn't take any the first year to let it establish but do I just let it rot on the plant?
My favorite 'rhubarb crumble', I'm waiting for our first crop which sadly will be in a couple of year, :)
