I am presently trying to get my new plot in some sort of shape,I have managed to plant some fruit canes and rhubarb and thought I was sorted with regards to crop rotation and what I was planting where.
Now I am getting sprng onions popping up everywhere(the site was allotments previously but has been unworked for a decade) as I have been informed that the plots used to be marked out the other way and I have bits of 3 different plots on mine.
what do I do with regard to my rotation?

Dig them out. Are you sure they're spring onions not bluebells? I had the latter when I took on my plot, they're persistent sods, but the way to get them is with a trowel as they come up.
or could they be chives?
I am pretty sure they are spring onions as they smell like spring onions not chives(24 years as a chef gives me a nose for these things).
2 types one red variety.
I am just a bit concerned about the whole planting alliums in the same place thing.
Dig them out and see what they're likel If any are rotting with a sort of white mould you've got problems. I'm not sure whether it's visible this time of year, but you'll soon find out anyway if you've got white rot. Meanwhile, if you're a chef I'm sure you can find a use for them.

no white mould they look pretty good actually.
I can't believe they survived the week killer and rotvation assault the council subjected the plots to.
When did they do it? Rotavation wouldn't do a lot of damage to small bulbs, and weedkiller doesn't work outside the grwowing season.
they sprayed it twice last september and then rotovated it a few weeks later.
then covered most of the plot in cardboard and seaweed.
