A Seed & Plant Swap and Sale is to be held at the Hugglescote Community Centre, Leicestershire LE67 2BR at 11-1 Saturday 17 April. This is the first time the Ellistown Allotments & Gardens Society (EAGS) has held this event indoors to provide an all weather venue with free car parking. The Seed Swap provides a chance for gardeners to exchange their any surplus seeds or young plants. All members of Allotments4 All are welcome come and see what others have available, even if they have nothing to swap.Other Leicestershire Allotment Societies have been invited to participate.
A "Compost Helpdesk" staffed by Leicestershire Master Composters will be on-hand to provide help and advice on composting together with details of the latest Council offers on compost bins and food digesters. Light refreshments will be available and everyone buying refreshments will be entered in a draw for a copy of the RHS Allotment Handbook.
