Title: Pigeons!
Post by: Chezzie on March 27, 2010, 08:01:39
Good morning all, you were so wonderful with my compost question a while ago that I thought somebody might have an answer to removing the pesky pigeons on my balcony.  I have lived here for 23 years and have never had a problem but recently all the nests were removed from the building across the road and the birds are laying eggs all over the place, I have that grass carpet on the balcony so obviously it was nice and soft, I kept shooing them away but they kept coming back then I found an egg which I immediately removed, I've tried printing out pictures of owls and sticking them to the railings and dangling CD's the owls didn't do a thing but I thought that the CD's had worked until this morning when they were back again, does anybody have any ideas please.  They are so dirty and poo all over the place, I love birds but not pigeons.

Thanks

Chezzie

why not go to a local antique fair and see if you can buy an old stuffed bird of prey im sure this will keep them away

Is there any way that you can net off your balcony for a while.
