Title: My newby puter.
Post by: kenkew on November 12, 2004, 21:31:50
OK, I splashed out and up-dated. Athlon 64 and 400Gig HD space. (Want room for video work.)
Most seems OK so far, still configgin' an' all that, but apparently I'm missing a file to open up excel. (sku112.cab). Anyone come across this before? New puters don't have installation disks these days....pity, because I need it to load the file from....Bought it in the UK but, being in Belgium I'm reluctant to pay £1 a min to listen to 'hold-on while I connect you' music. Any answers out there. (I've actually dug into the depths and found the file, but can't seem to get the installation prog to recognise it.)

Tried that, Ken. Also tried the MS help site. All they tell me to do is re-load the disk I never got(!) or brows to the installation location. I've since found out that this missing file is a common occurance yet I havn't found the answer yet.
