Title: Herb seeds - Tescos or something fancier
Post by: newspud9 on March 16, 2010, 13:44:13
Go to any reasonably sized grocer and you can find herb seeds for sowing and all making claims for the tastiest results.  How do these compare to garden centre offerings or specialist on-line providers.   Price difference looks negligible.  Who's had the best results with what.... not talking about anything fancy - just sage, parsely, rosemary, etc.    What do people do for seeds for their veggies - garden centres or specialist?

Thanks to all

Personally I order online - generally from T&M or Nickys Nursery.
Mostly cheaper seeds are fine if once germinated!

I think the main difference I've found is that the specialist / on line companies have different varieties for sale. I buy a mixture - basics from shops and unusual varieties on line  :)

A specialist will probably look after the seed better, and you'll get it in better condition.
