Title: Carrot Tops
Post by: Mortality on March 14, 2010, 10:52:23
I've put some carrot tops in a dish of water so that the greenry can re grow, to show my son, it is something I remember my mother doing for me as a kid.

My question is, what would happen if we planted the carrots out after they grow some greenery?

Anyone took the experiment that bit further??

You won't get proper edible roots but you can con it into giving seeds...  :-\

I've always wondered that.
I tried a few weeks ago with some Tesco carrits, they didn't even grow the foliage.
Must have been washed in something dodgy to make them stay fresh longer.
