....he did!

The day was all about 'wellbeing and diversity' and we had a stand promoting our allotments, which are the nearest ones to the university.

He attracted a lot of interest and comments, including "Is it real?" "Do you own a business making them?" and "What is it, it's scaring me".
The uni chaplain lent him his clerical collar.

There was a lot of interest in allotments from students and staff and I really enjoyed the day.
Great having a scarecrow who has bean to university. ;D ;D
that's fab! Did he get a certificate ?!
I love the photos :-)
So, how did you get on "carrying him to the hall"? Did you get many strange looks?! did you wheel him there in a barrow?!
Brilliant. Did you put his seat belt on?
Yes, I'm very proud that my boy has been to uni, I knew he had it in him. ;)
They didn't give him a certificate today, maybe that will happen on graduation day?
My husband dropped me off on the main road outside the uni and I had to carry him (the scarecrow, not my husband) a short distance to the building. We did get some strange looks but nobody laughed, they are very polite in Birmingham!!! ;)
Yes, he had his seatbelt on!
ooo I can see a new set of clothes for your Uni scarecrow - one with a gown and mortar board ;D ;D ;D
Betty, you are a true promoter of allotments, and an inspiration to many, Well done for 'gaining a place' at Uni !! ;D ;D
