can anyone advise please on obtaining a large water butt for my plot
without going to the local diy shop and buying one, id like to get a simple barrell type so i can
just dip the watering can in ....cheap as chips is the idea....but where can i get one from ??
many thanks steve
If youve any factories near you that process food they might give away those big blue barrels that stuff like spices comes in. Or maybe a chemical factory but youd need to know what was in the barrel wasnt harmful. They cut the tops off them so theyre good for dipping.
I did the above but then went looking on ebay as well and there are plenty of water barrels or plastic storage on there that will be suitable. I collected 3 160l drums for £10, bargain I thought
balckcountrysteve....how far would you be willing to travel for your barrel?
