I dont think I will grow this again although some people on the site seem to like it a lot. It may be better with a greenhouse but I havent found the yield good enough to want to grow it for a third year.
That said , would anyone like some?!! I would appreciate saes to save on postage (anticpating lots of demand.....!)
Hi Gwynleg
'Yield not good enough"? You can't be doing it right! Give it one more go. You should be able to get at least a kilo from each plant. Try interplanting it with tomatoes, then any oca yield is a bonus. Full description here:

My yield was dreadful too and I don't esee what else I could have done, it had p[lenty of food, didnt want for water and had a long season (the plants got big for sure..... just hardly anythign under them.... I might give them another go on a different site, but what I harvested was only a bit mroe than I planted....

My yield was pathetic, but I had small tubers, and got them in late. A few plants gave me decent yields, the rest little or nothing. I'm trying again.
Hi Gwynleg, I would love to try some of your Oca. Is there anything you would like in exchange?
Have pm'd you
my yield was awful too. read up on them first but in Yorkshire they dont seem to like it.
Hi All
I also got some from one of the swap and alto I was late lifting them I could not find one tuber. The plants did grow and looked Ok but maybe the squirrels or rats got to them before me. So I have not had the chance to taste them yet. Was a bit disappointed after digging around in the pot and not finding anything.
If you still hae some tubers that I can try (this time in the green house around the tomatoes please pm me - I have got most things for a swap. let me know your fancy.
Kind regards
Jitterbug
