glass every time.!!
it lets through more light, lasts for literaly hundreds of years, does not fade, contains heat better, etc etc.

This subject pops up every year it seems. Go back to July 28, 2008 in this same forum and see one titled
"Glass or Polycarbonate"  for some good comments.  Or press "search" button in top bar and type those words and you'll get heaps.

Glass GH's also provide excellent evolutionary pressure on children to learn not to mess about near vegetables.....

mines polycarbonate stays warm longer and doesnt break every time theres a gale and toms dont get frazzled in the stong summer sunshine.

But thing is once you have your frame you can decide what glazes them, ive seen some greenhouses where the roof is polycarbonate to keep the heat in but glass around the sides to let the most light in.
See how you get on in the storms to spare panes of either are easy to get hold of.

good luck
