Title: DIY help please
Post by: lushy86 on February 22, 2010, 20:11:38
As you may know we moved into the house from hell recently.  We are now tackling the bathroom.  The new  bath is in and we have an electric shower to put in over it.  The problem is I want a glass shower screen but the edge of the bath slightly overlaps the window  if you see what I mean.  I don't want a shower curtain.  I have looked and looked for a screen with a slight curve so it can be fixed to the wall and curve out a bit then along the edge of the bath.  OH says we can't turn the bath round because the fall on the waste pipe would be too little and water can't run uphill!!  ::)  Any suggestions? Things are getting a little tense around here.

We have the same problem, Lushy, so I plumbed the shower in over the other end of the bath! (no need to hit shins with taps, now)  ;)

I think Wickes do a curved screen and have you tried somewhere like Bathstore?  Also Ebay is worth a look.

Don't think the cureved ones will work it would need to be curved where it it attached then straight as the sides of the bath are straight if you see what I mean  ???

We've just installed a 4-fold screen from B&Q, the first fold sits angled across the bath corner and the other three then are straight, very successful and easily big enough.

Good to hear that works small, it may well be the solution.  Can't post pics coz cant find camera lead - still packed somewhere as we are still camping here at mo  ::)
