Been looking recently into alternative web browsers, not being totally satisfied with the ones that I've been using. I was quite surprised just how many there are out there and was wondering which one you found the best for general browsing, downloading, video streaming, reliability, user friendliness etc.
I have tried out the latest IE (v8) and found it OK, Chrome was alright but I didn't get on with it all that well (slow to load pages). I like Firefox but even that has its faults.
Haven't really tested it yet but i downloaded and installed Opera the other day and it looks promising.
Anything else worth trying?
I mainly use Firefox and Thunderbird, however, I also have the Seamonkey Suite, for the Composer (html editor). I find the basic Firefox most suitable for general use.
I use firefox on my computers and opera 5 beta on my phone. Tried various others but always seem to go back to firefox.
don't seem to be able to beat Firefox ;)
firefox here too does what it says on the tin
Another vote here for Firefox.

I havent heard of Firefox ???
Firefox for me, every time. Opera is good too, but IE is a load of you-know-what, I can't understand why anyone would want to use it.

giving google chrome a go as we speak it seems quite quick too
Firefox again, every new version gets a bit faster - on to version 3.6 now.
Use the NoScript add-on and it gets rid of all the annoyances from websites.
