Title: Seat Alhambra
Post by: pntalbot on February 04, 2010, 18:54:10
Had a Seat Alhambra  with a Squeeky Rear electric window-- I had to drive with  window slightly down, to take window pressure off Window Trim. Under warranty  they changed window trim, also sprayed trim with Holts Rubber and Nylon Lubricant, still faulty, so decided to increase volume on Car radio-- then warranty ran out. i was so sick of it, i changed  to a Newer Alhambra, for 12 months all Ok, but guess what, this same fault now appeared again on exactly same window. Contacted Main Seat Customer Services at Milton Keynes and asked was this logged as a common fault with Seat--they said it wasn`t. So are there any Seat Alhambra/ Ford Galaxy / VW Sharon owners out there, with same fault and if so, how did they clear the fault ? ?

May be worth checking out www.honestjohn.co.uk. Great website with loads of good car-buying advice. He will answer brief queries personally too.

try some cheap silicone polish, not the one with added wax. 60p a can from wilcos. I use it to stop the rubber engine mounts on the Harley  from squeaking when they get dry. You can buy a can of the stuff that is branded to lubricate and stop squeaks, but it will cost a fortune. Silicone is a very good anti friction agent.
