Roy,

I found the website for the bamboo park I mentioned before.  It is....

It looks good. Sunny pics, compared to when we were there.

Thanks for the link Ciaran ;) it looks a very interesting park, Tree Ferns and Palms too! :o I have only four different species of Bamboo in our little garden and in only two years have split two of them up to share with the family, that's how quick they grow. :D
Did you know you can build your own home with this wonder grass? An amazing plant with thousands of uses. If you'd like to take time out to browse this link you will see what I mean. 8)

Thanks Roy,

had a quick look at the thumbnails, and the concrete reinforcement, can you believe it?

Would like black specimen.  Was nearly tempted in a garden show here in the summer.  I should get a small one and let it go(grow).  The place where I want it to go is where I have been cutting back a neighbour's sycamore for more sunshine in that corner of the garden, so to put a tall bamboo there.... It's also the area where I can dump grass and hedge cutting, so getting in and out might be a problem. Anyway, and idea for another day, that's what it's all about.

regards,

Bamboo is great stuff. Shame that lot are in Ireland.
