Title: Garlic fokhagyma

anyone grown this variety, it s ays plant in january, am I ok planting it now, the ground is workable but not warmed up?

Well apart from discovering that "fokhagyma" is Hungarian for garlic I know nothing! Chances are it'll be fine.

Hi manics-I'm planting mine this week-mine is an IOW variety-usually I do it beginning of Jan but snow and all that.  ::) I'm starting a lot of stuff much later than usual...can't wait to see how they do!

mine's in now, the soil's fine, just cold, we'll see how it goes, I got it from homebase ,

What size are the bulbs? when I tried Homebase garlic, some years ago, they had minute bulbs which gave me mini garlic. Never again!

these are huge, only 6 to 8 per bulb  :)
