Post by: TEL on January 25, 2010, 17:12:54
Hi all

When i am looking at A4A every time i change a page my kaspersky detects a Trojan but in the report it says "virus not-a-virus:fraud tool.win 32 winspyware protect bhx" on this site only has any one got any ideas what it may be.

Thanks

This is a trojan that pretends to be a virus warning. Try spybot or A squared free. Run a scan and see if it picks it up.
It has been developed so people download a so called virus scanner that is in fact malware.
Also make sure that your firewall is up to date and working.

Oh scary. Yesterday i popped on in the evening and got a Trojan warning. I scanned using my Virgin media anti-virus and it found 2 viruses. It quarantined them and then I deleted so hopefully that's ok.  ???

I had a Trojan before Xmas my computer was waking up and operating in the middle of the night.  Someone somewhere was using it.  Spooky.

Graah-that is spooky.  :o
A long time ago I was told by an IT guy for the MOD to have a nice pc/laptop/mac for all my pics, docs and music, and one clapped out pc for internet usage. I did and am pleased I did-there are pics and stuff on this one but only copies for emailing and facebooking-I'd die a million deaths if I lost it all.  :'(

Best for you and the environment if you switch it off when not in use.
