Can you plant Bulbs that should have been planted in Autumn now??? We're new to all this! ??? ??? ???
No harm in trying! Otherwise keep them in the dark until next autumn, but I would think you would lose a few either way.
Put them straight in. They may have been weakened by being left out of the ground all winter, so it may be a couple of years before they flower. But they should come through OK, as long as they're not naked bulbs like snowdrops which can't take drying. Daffs will be fine; I sometimes buy cheap bulbs this time of year to put in the lane at the allotments, and they always recover well.
Thank you very much for your advice, i've planted them, so we'll see x
Welcome to A4A Surda... we planted about twenty tubs of bulbs.. mainly tete a tete on Saturday...
Yep-I'm doing mine this week! New house so couldn't do in Autumn. Let's see how they do. (mine were tete a tetes and daffs too.) ;D
