I have not a clue as i am not om facebook, i just get the info sent and i pass it on

A QUOTE {There are two doing the rounds, the picture one and the other offering work, anything from $36k - $77k.

Allegedly, if you open the 'photo' one it delves into your friends list and spreads. Waiting to hear about the $ one.

I am getting 2-3 everyday from the same account and have info'd the bloke. In his line of work he has contact with some major company IT specialists so I'm sending him copies of both the links that come through tonight. Hopefully they might find out more.}

QuoteKoobface spreads by delivering Facebook messages to people who are 'friends' of a Facebook user whose computer has already been infected. Upon receipt, the message directs the recipients to a third-party website, where they are prompted to download what is purported to be an update of the Adobe Flash player. If they download and execute the file....
....then they are very very stupid!

"If they download and execute the file...."

It won't work on our system, you can't execute files. In our system you run Bin files.

It will if your using wine!

And of course you still execute files - you just don't run .exe files - you just execute .bin files instead..
Just check the permissions - they are still refered to as executable..
This POS spreads by social engineering and Linux is just vunerable to malware that tricks it's users into installing it as any other OS - however most Linux users are pretty savy about clicking on random crap...
