Title: Tucker's potato delivery
Post by: Paulines7 on January 11, 2010, 10:21:21
I rang Tucker's to find out when they would be delivering my potatoes as my invoice shows delivery on 1st January.  They said they had not sent any out yet due to the bad weather but hope to start their deliveries at the end of the week subject to weather conditions.

I said I would let everyone know on A4A as, no doubt, there will be people on here who have also ordered from them.

Don't worry Tuckers will get their potatoes out very soon. We got caught out with the weather and only got half the varieties to them and the rest are still here.
The frost would cause serious damage to potatoes and should never be transported in freezing conditions.

The weather at the beginning of last year caused the same problem - they eventually delivered at the end of January, and it made no difference to the crop. Unless this weather continues into March I'm not worried - it means I don't have to find space to store them just yet.
