that'll save a few quid?

Oh dear! What a shame! Never mind!
Too Expensive Not even funny. Hope they find some real talent.
Not really as they will just replace him with Graham Norton or the like - even worse IMHO..
I used to like the prog but haven't watched for years - here's hoping that they dont just replace it with more inane chat.
Hooray! And good riddance. About time they stopped paying vast sums of money for the mediocre.
Am I the only one on here who likes him ???
Overpaid without doubt but if someone offered you a pay rise would you refuse ? ;)
Maybe with the money they save they can invest in programmes that are worth watching.

i like him too macmac, not a massive massive fan but do tune in usually, prefer his radio style though, rather than telly
Oh good. ;D

I think there comes a point where asking for a pay rise equates with greed. We all have the same needs, everything else is about wants and aspirations. Anyway I don't think he, or anyone else for that matter, is worth that kind of money but I'm not expecting the revolution anytime soon. :)
And don't get me started on footballers salaries.....
How can anyone be worth 6m per year, much less a dj?
my daughter is struggling through snow and ice at 6.15 a.m to get to intensive care, because she cares about people for, compared to him, a pittance, sorry, rant over, I'm worried about her :(

Well I reckon I am. Trouble is nobody else does ;)
I too like Jonathan Ross!
I am sure that he is overpaid and will carry on doing very well on some independent channels.
I didn't watch his TV show often as it was too late for me but Saturday mornings won't be the same!
I can understand why some people couldn't stand him - but equally I could not tolerate Wogan - so I know that I am in the minority - but his smuttyness and ridiculous singing and play acting in the Janet and John stuff used to really piss me off!
I am no prude but there is a time and place and 7.30 in the morning is no time and the radio with little people listening was not the place!
Enough said!
O B ;D
I stopped watching him a long time ago.
Good riddance :(
the man was just a cockscomb, the beeb can do without him!!
good riddance to bad rubbish, I say
Can't say I'm bothered either way to be honest. I've not listened to his radio show but I have tuned in to his chat show on a few occasions and whilst I can't call myself a fan after a handful of shows, I did like the way his guests always seemed to be relaxed, answer some fairly good questions and have a good time (when Ross wasn't trying to drag things into the gutter that is, lol) and I can't think of many chat shows past or present that had that about them.
Ace I think you mean 6 bob. ;D ;D ;D
I wonder who's going to fill his slot?
Must say I'll miss his Saturday show on Radio 2,although he doesn't seem to have been on it much recently!

Sounds About right to me. For Ace I mean - way over the top for Jonathon Ross. ;D ;D
I have mixed feelings about this, but one thing I do know, I would rather watch him, overpaid or not, than some cheap 'reality' tv rubbish.
Popstar to operastar etc. Cheap tv at our expense.
There is less and less to watch, and I don't even turn on until 9pm at the earliest.
Put ACE on and give him the money. Woss is leaving, has really, really cheered me up, can't stand him.

You could of course turn off and stop watching sh****e. Save yourself a bundle of dosh too! :-*
I can't stand the man and so pleased to hear he is going from the BBC. Who will we get in his place? Another highly paid so called enterntainer, it is obscene the amount of money folk like Ross was getting as well as Graham Norton. I know my hand was on the Off switch when Wossy came on, both on the radio and TV. I too am watching less and less telly these days, there is nothing worth watching. I admit to being on Dave quite a bit and watch the Q1 re runs or Top Gear. At least I find them entertaining, over and over again.
Am I the only person that misses Micheal Parkinson......I think we should bring him out of retirement!!
Or couldn't we find an interviewer that is less bothered about being the star of the show.....
Duke :)
Ross gives rancour a bad name!

I'm with you Macmac i like his risque style. I'm sure the BBC will replaces him with some boring old fart with PC in there initials. :(
He is so sycophantic, and I am sick o'phantics!!
Great quote from the Simpsons - Mr Burns to Smithers "What kind of sycophant are you?" Smithers "What kind of sycophant would you like me to be Sir?" ;D
