Title: Can you see him too?
Post by: Grandma on January 06, 2010, 08:29:54
To brighten up a bitterly cold day, I was looking through some of my 'summer-y' snaps and came across this one, taken in August when my fish were spawning.

I hadn't noticed him before, but there's a chap with long hair and a flowing beard looking back at me from the ripples!

Can you see him too - or has the cold addled my brain???

I can't see the man, but I can see this strange-looking creature in the bottom right-hand corner.  Looks a bit like a rabbitdog.

If that is your reflection, it must be so awkward for you to go out, or do you do your shopping at night when there is nobody about ;)

Funny you should say that ACE - the chap reminded me of you. But I wasn't rude enough to say so.  :P

I think I can see him now.  Has he got a stretched rabbit with its mouth wide open just to the right of him?  And Casper the ghost to the right of the  rabbit?
Or should I go and lie down in a darkened room?

Poor Squash64!  :-*

Your 'stretched rabbit' is, of course, a blind duck with a dislocated jaw - and as for Caspar: well, he's just be a figment of your imagination, I'm afraid.

Before you take to your bed, here's a close up of the chap himself - he's slap in the middle - you can't miss him!!

Hasn't he got a nice nose and a lovely, crooked smile?

(I wonder why such a nice-looking fella ever reminded me of ACE?)

Hope you're feeling better soon, Squash64. xxx

Which nose do you mean?  I can see two - no, hang on a minute, the thing I thought was a second nose is in fact a woman's head with blonde hair.

I'd better go to bed now.........

The dog has his mouth open with his tongue hanging out.  His eyes are shining in the car headlights and he looks very angry.   ;D ;D ;D

This could be the start of a new religious cult.

Have you had any miracles yet?

Why not ask visitors to bring offerings and leave them with you for safe keeping.

Sell small bottles of pond water on E-bay.

Your dog and my rabbit share the same mouth, but the rabbit's body is the white colour and is elongated because he is standing on his back legs, balanced by his fluffy little white tail. He has only one ear (over your dog's left eye) and a massive mouth.

Can you see him now?

Pilgrims always welcome!

Pond water for sale at £5.00 per 50gm (please bring your own pickaxe.)

Offerings accepted with thanks - no cheques, please - just cash or gold.

The following snap shows a horse and a tiger swimming together - so not a miracle exactly - (would have needed a lion and a lamb for that!) -  but pretty close.

Grandma - I can see a seal and a lion but if I shift my gaze slightly, the lion changes into a hippo!

I love your pond - have you considered letting it have its own website?  Maybe www.miraclepond.co.uk?

LOL,  :D

I think we might be onto something here.

Shall we contact Ponds (cream) and ask if they would like to sponsor your pond?  Or perhaps they could donate some of their products which you could use as raffle prizes when all the pilgrims descend on you?

...or maybe I should get on with some housework or something......

The man I see looks like he has a stick clenched in his teeth and a nose flattened rather like a big cat's.  He is sideways in the ripple.

I never thought of turning it upside down, the possibilities are endless now. From this angle, I can see a man with a big fish coming out of his mouth.
