Not sure where to post this, but just caught a glimps of a BW cow photo on the random images, so pretty. Just wondered who's the photo was as use to keep a few of them and I think they are wonderful. Help if you can
Thanks
ps They are a native british animal, fairly rare, a white cow with black points-nose, feet, eyes and ears!
Think you're gonna have to google that one Jayb, very interesting , can you give us a photo ?
I can dig a photo out and scan it, just wondered who's was the photo I saw on here ;D, I was not quick enough to click on the image before it was gone!

lovely cattle, but British White are naturally polled, so is this photo of a "White Park"? look very similar apart from the cows horns!!!
Oooh that's the one, top marks ;D
It's gorgeous, but a White Park not British White, (I don't think it is a Chillingham).
Thanks you, how did you find that? Do you know if it is Oone of Dans photos or cattle?

I think so too, now I get a proper look ;D
I have always admired them, and if I ever manage to buy some land, I have wanted to keep a couple (British White that is, as I don't want the horns!!!)
There's some appeared near York... I am so envious!!!
I assume it's a photo from Dan, as Nick said, due to the photo info if you click on it.
Mel
They are lovely cattle to keep a little wilful but generally placid, they make great mothers, and tasty beef. I'll see if I can dig out a couple of photos tomorrow
They have them on Greenham Common where I walk my dogs. Fortunately they're quite docile - the cows that is.

Doh, I didn't think to search through, thanks :)
Are these the things?

the image shows horns, therfore it is a 'white park cattle' animal

the 2 are often confused with each other.
;D Yes those are the ones I meant (used to keep) Robert, but the photo I glimpsed was a White park as Tony says, just didn't have time to see it properly. I dug some photos out today just haven't worked this scanner before :o
A couple of photos if, now I have worked the scanner out, 'simples'
