Title: Anya potatoes
Post by: Sparkly on January 02, 2010, 13:53:22
Just went to have a check on the potato sacks in the shed and realised we had half a sack of Anya's that I had forgot we even had! They have stored well. We also have loads of kestrel.

Any ideas?

Not familiar with Anya potatoes but here is a link you may like

If you are thinking of cooking for freezing my best tip is to make quantities of mash and either do cottage pie type things, simply freeze then bake in the oven when you want to use them. A scrunch of crisps on top and a sprinkle of grated cheese is nice.

Or make the mash into cakes like fish cakes but I also do it with bacon or cheese and onion too.

I have also part boiled and part roasted spuds frozen them then reheated in the oven same with parsnips.

Bubble and squeak.......

Then there are CHIPS.
