Saddad thank you again for the seeds.
Please could you outline the timings you usually follow for growing this variety and any other tips.
I have searched the forums but a complete guide in one place would be handy.
Also the method you use to save seed for next year and to pass on.
Many thanks and a Very Happy Christmas to you
All I can say, from the ones Tony gave me, is lots of room & support.
have a look here, it's this yrs progress report(inc 'whippersnapper')

I grow mine in window-boxes.
seed collection?
same as all tomatoes, squeeze a tomato 'til the pips are in a small glass / bottle / whatever, add a little water, leave to start rotting.
lift off mouldy crust, then put remaining stuff into fine sieve, and rinse under the cold tap 'til clean seeds are all that is left. dry on kitchen paper, label and store / give away.
( the rotting process is best way to avoid Tomato Mosaic Virus being passed on, also Tomato / Potato Blight)
;)
I start all mine (Tomato varieties) in early March.. bring them on in a cold greenhouse then into hanging baskets (Whippersnapper) and outside after the frosts. Seed saving as Tony said..
Many thanks I thought they might of been started a bit earlier when I saw the posts about the first pickings earlier this year.
