I always used to think grey squirrels hibernated--but seeing our residents scampering around over the past couple of days made me wonder.
Seems they do not.
And I`m so soft I have put out some of the walnuts I managed to get before they got them back out under the tree on a tray above the snow
no squirrels do not hibernate - hence why they collect and store food for the winter
