has anyone bought any dvds of old TV progs from those specialist online places (ie not BBC for instance). I just want to know what the picture quality is like. I fancy treating myself to some kids programmes from the 70s. Found the first episode of "Roberts Robots" online. It was a right laugh but the quality was rubbish
I was thinking about Roberts Robots, Pardon My Genie, Catweazel or even Timeslip :o ;D
I have the box set of Auf Wiedersehen Pet. It is great. Also purchased old films such as Spartacus, Stalingrad, even a dvd of Laurel & Hardy. All with no problems.
My sis bought me the Catweazel and Worzel Gummidge dvds-don't know where from, probably Amazon. The quality isn't perfect but it's not terrible-the nostalgia carried me through anyway!!!
worsel Gummidge - that's another one ;D
it's just if you look for "cult" movie dvds they've often been taken from an old betamax tape someone found in a skip, and whoever's selling them doesn't have the copyright. Different for uk TV progs, but I bet they haven't looked after the tapes too well
I've put worzel gummidge and spitting image onto my love film list ;D
I'm just off to have a look and see if Mr Benn is available on DVD ...

I found all of Bagpuss for £2 ASDA, a few months ago. My gdaughter loves it. SamL, I found all of Mr Benn on Amazon, about £5. I am sure me and gd will enjoy that too!
ever since SamLouise mentioned Mr Benn. i've had the tune going round my head ;D
I bought all the Camberwick Green/Trumpton/Chigley ones from Amazon last Christmas, my little Granson brought them with him when he came to stay this week - I'm not sure who enjoyed them most!
