Good photos! I saw ours whilst I was at the plot this morning but he came and went very quickly, and I don't blame him for not wanting to be out in the cold!

reminds me of "The Secret Garden"- I loved Friday afternoons when our wonderful teacher used to read us the next chapter- no time for such things in schools now with all of the targets to meet, but it fed my love of reading.
They're fabulous photos.

Thanks for the lovely comments  :)

Every time I go on the plot a robin suddenly appears, almost as though he's been waiting for me.  I usually turn over some soil for him but I couldn't do that today because it was frozen.  He stayed close to me while I was filling the wheelbarrow with horse manure and taking it back to a new compost heap so maybe there were a few worms there for him.

The Secret Garden is one of my favourites too.  I might have to read it again now you've reminded me.  :)

Squash, what fantastic pictures, well done!  I've always had trouble getting a good robin picture, I'm very jealous!  ;D

Thanks :)
This robin is not at all camera-shy,  or people-shy if it comes to that.  He comes so close to me that I could almost touch him.
Years ago there used to be a sparrow in  my garden that would come onto my hand to eat.
