Title: Sowing Caulis in December
Post by: Digeroo on December 02, 2009, 21:04:15
I have a packet of Cauliflower seeds that says you can start it off inside in December.  Has anyone any experience of starting them off this early.   Variety Andes.

I have grown them Diger but never set them away that early i waited until January, they are a 60 day Cauli from planting to cutting.
Downside you are growing them through the coldest months of the year so you will need heat till the hardening off period.

I have just counted 57 seeds, so I could try sowing a few soon.  Afterall if it does not work, I shall send it back if it does not do what it says on the packet.

Your big problem will be getting the weather and the ground dry to plant them out, you probably won't be able to do it till Spring
