Title: Corneys off to Hartlepool
Post by: cornykev on November 26, 2009, 16:43:07
Well I've packed my extra thick stringvest, thermals, wolly hat, gloves and my coat is even coming out of hibernation, as I'm off to the coldlands of Hartlepool.
We are off tonight for the weekend, off to Wilkco's for some bargains, might even find a few Secret Santa goodies.  ;D ;D ;D

Where are you from Corney?  Hartlepool's not such a bad place!  It might be a bit chilly and wind-swept, but at least we don't get floods.  Actually, when the rain comes over from the west, it often just misses our bit of the coastline, so we don't do too badly here- rarely get really hot weather either though because of the sea frets in the summer.  We have a reputation for being a bit mad (a monkey for a mayor!) but we're a great bunch really, and when the Tall Ships are here next August we'll have lots of requests for spare bedrooms and somewhere to put a sleeping bag!

So, let me get this right, Hartlepool's such an interesting place, not even the weather wants to visit ?   ;D
