Hammering up a couple extra shelves in the shed today to organize my "stuff" ;D
crikey, lots of little things really. Digging in a load of manure for one!
Knowing I haven't got to rush. Pottering on plot is the most relaxing thing I do and it makes me very happy ;D
OH, well she's only just over 5'... (Where's the vomit emoticon?) ;D
Altogether now....ahhhhhhhh! ;D :-X
Couldn't say the same about my OH..........just that he's not little (she hastily adds!) ;D :o I'm not sure I'm not digging a bigger hole for myself here! :o
;D
Sticking strictly to teh garden, it's seeing seeds come up and cuttings take root, a new treasure settled in and growing well, a newly mown lawn, a well trimmed hedge, fat buds forming on clematis, honeysuckle and roses, new growth pushing through the soil after winter, especially daffs and hostas....
In the veggie plot, neat rows and blocks of babies offering promise of goodies to come, fresh juicy stalks of rhubarb pushing through, pumpkins trying to take over the world, fat shiny fruits forming in the fruit patch and blue tits eating greenfly and caterpillars fresh off the plants.
And lastly - compost. I just love it when OH turns the heaps and gives me loads of lovely new compost.
the first strawberry ;D
Just been pottering round a rather soggy garden and found three unexpected raspberries.
Sitting on the step of the shed after a hard day at the lottie with a flask of coffee admiring all the hard work and the feeling of beating the dreaded weeds for that day :)
Eating the first corn on the cob of the year !!
Duke :) ;D :D ;) :) ;D :D ;) :)
Digging up the first new potato - like prospecting for gold ;D

Unopened box of Cadbury's chox wiv only me around to dive into them might be another, fr'instance... ;D
OK then, quick amendment.....sitting in my upstairs study, eating just the purple ones in a box of Quality Street an not having to share, while looking out on my garden/veggie plotties and seeing NO outstanding jobs to do (fat chance).....that do ya? ;D
No messages on the answer phone when I get back from the allotment. Pleased to know that everyone is OK.
Seeing everthing begin again in the spring " a new Awakeing" seeing the bulbs & leaves appearing & hearing the birds singing how lovely ;D ;D ;D.
Of course my OH, when he is NOT busy ;D ;D ;D.
Giving away my chilli plants that I have gown from seed. Having had so many disasters in the garden I though I would have a go an windowsill propogation. I have finally found something I can do and my friends are really happy to receive them.
seeing my bank balance go up, and not down.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Seeing the 'before' photos of my overgrown rubbish-strewn plot! The same day I got the phone call saying I'd got to the top of the list, my lover and best friend had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and my world had just imploded. I have no clue about gardening but as soon as I walked through the gates I knew that this was the only thing that was going to keep me sane. If I'm having a bad day I go and sit in my shed :)
