Strawberry plants are real hardy plants, they will be fine to plant out later, especially as this  November is so mild, so far.

It might be wet and windy but remember the soil is still quite warm and that's what counts.

If you are awaiting your order from Marshalls let me show you the e-mail/newsletter they sent me.

Can you believe that November is here already? The autumn weather has certainly been topsy turvy this year with warm sunny days in many areas throughout October. Usually November means the beginning of hard frosts but who knows what will be in store for us this year!

Over here in East Anglia it has been so mild that lifting our fruit plants, bushes and trees has proved difficult. The ground has been hard and the plants are still in leaf! If you have ordered fruit, then please be patient.  Delivering your order a little later this year will ensure better planting quality.

I am awaiting a Raspberry oder and apparently they are still growing and they wont lift/send them out until they are dormant!

Perhaps other suppliers are having the same problem!

We need to move ours. Should we wait for spring or can it be done now.

I got a letter today saying they won't be ready until feb :(

They gave similar reasons tee gee but i'm waiting on T&M.

If I get them in feb and plant them out, will they still fruit that year?

Even if I cancel the order and find others, I guess it is too late to plant now?

It's never too late to plant, but they'll grow faster if you take the flowers off the first year.

If the ground is workable no problem.   I have moved strawberries at this time of the year before when I go this allotment.  They thrived.
