Title: brussel tops?...
Post by: kippers garden on November 18, 2009, 18:37:07
I know you can eat the tops of brussel sprouts but i'm not sure if you take off the whole top when you still have brussels on or do you wait until you have harvested all the brussels?

thanks for any advice

You can do it whenever you want, but I do not eat the tops until the Brussels are finished. The Brussels tops help to feed the plant and they come in handy to eat in the Spring when there is not much else.

Disagree. By the time the Sprouts are done, the top will be blown.

Eat them as soon as it'they're a 'Cabbage'.

i agree, eat them when u want, if u leave them then 'well' they will go brown/yellow.....already had ours.....i personally think they are better than the actual brussel but thats just me.......just enjoy  ;D
