We go out for a curry. It is organised so we get the bargin price of £10, with £5 of that going to the allotment society. Midweek so we can get a good deal from a local restaurant.

We've had an evening BBQ in June for plot holders for the past four years - we just charge enough to cover the food.  We also have a 'coffee morning' in October each year for any plot holders who want to come along (coffee and biscuits are free), this is mainly so those people who have taken on a plot in the previous few months can meet other plot holders and to show them what field equipment we have which they can borrow, and its also timed for when the autumn onion sets and garlic are available from our field trading shed.
We also hold an open day every year, in June with the money raised going to a local 'good cause' - our open days are very popular and we had around 400 people visit this year - and raised £1,250.00

Manics, Lavs, I'd love to get that going on my site.  We had a do for the Big Lunch on July 19 with singing and dancing.  We're planning to wassail our apple tree in January.
