I cam across this book supposedly about old style cooking etc. Just wondering if it is any good for useful old hints and tips or is it predominantly recipes? Anybody got this book? Is it any good?

Darina Allen is very well known, she has run the Ballymaloe cookery school (http://www.cookingisfun.ie) in Ireland since 1983 formerly with her husband Tim although he withdrew his involvement with the business in 2003 when he became a convicted paedophile. Her daughter Rachel is a well known tv chef & her brother & her mother in law are both very well known chefs so there is plenty of experience within the family therefore the book should contain some worthwhile recipes.
