Title: romanesco (to the tune of "the sun has put his hat on.."
Post by: grawrc on November 13, 2009, 17:53:06
I've got a romanesco
Discovered it today
How much more should I let it grow
Can anybody say?

I've got a romanesco
as green as green could be
I want to eat it while it's good
so please get back to me! 8) 8) :-*

.. cauliflower that is! ::)

I had a little cauli
It had a bit of rot
It didn't taste very nice
In fact it tastes of snot.   :'(

I had a little romanescue once
I was proud as proud could be
But I left it on the plant to long
And one day it went to seed.

Pick it quick.

You should pick your little cauli,
That was waiting to be found.
You'll make the slugs so jolly
If you leave it in the ground.

Now I think only of snot!

your little romanesco
should be sweet as sweet can be
if you pick it while it's nice and young
and eat it for your tea  ;D

I'm sure you will enjoy it,
Be glad it wasn't binned.
The only trouble is,
It may give you the wind.

......flatulence that is. :-X :-\ ;D

You've nurtured your little cauli
Right from when it was born
Go and pick it sharpish
Before the great storm.
;D ;D ;D

Did you pick your little cauli?
Do tell us what you thought -
I bet it tasted twice as good
As one you could have bought.

It's specially exciting
because you see I thought
I had no romanesco left cos
the rabbits got the lot!

No time to go this morning
Too wet this afternoon
Unless I want to feed the slugs
I'd better get it soon! :o

I'm so very happy
As happy as can be
I've found a bunch of people
Who are crazy just like me!

(in a good way!)

I think that we should ask Dan
To do his very best
And make replying in this way
Compulsary for the rest.

For reminding me to look
I found two on the plot today

So any more discussion
Must be done in rhyme?
Quite tricky to begin with,
But much easier in time.

So make your rhyming couplets
Fit the merry tune,
And careful with your scansion, or
You might just look a loon.
